Carl Cogdell, LCSW

 

Carl Cogdell is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who earned his master’s degree in Social Work from East Carolina University. Carl was trained at the Durham VA Medical Center’s PTSD Clinic and continues that work in veteran mental health care today at the Wilmington VA.

In addition to serving Veterans, Carl has worked with children, adolescents, adults and families struggling with substance abuse, ADHD, depression, anxiety, trauma, and related issues.

Although Carl’s theoretical approach is rooted in Attachment Theory, he also utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness techniques to help individuals develop coping strategies, and achieve balance and relief from the symptoms negatively impacting their quality of life.

Carl is also available for appointments on evenings and weekends.
